There are many different types of orthodontic appliances available, commonly used in conjunction with braces. The type of appliances that are proposed for you individually will take many different things into account such as age, proposed length of treatment and the severity of your particular case.

Some types of orthodontic appliances are removable. Removable appliances are not used for all orthodontic problems. It takes skill and experience to recognise conditions that will respond favourably to removable appliances. Timing of such therapy is also very important. Dr Sam Wong is a specialist, trained to make such decisions.

Certain types of orthodontic appliances are more suitable for particular cases, for example the Invisalign system is suitable for adults only. Sam Wong will be able to let you know all of the options available to you in your initial consultation.
